Expanded Crew Change Agreement for London East and West
Limits of expanded crew change:
East - From East
Switch Quebec Street Yard M.P. 112 Galt Sub to East Switch Zorra Siding M.P. 93.6 Galt Sub
West - From West
Switch Quebec Street Yard M.P. 113.8 Galt Sub to West Switch Longwood M.P. 19.6 Windsor Sub.
Notification:
Whenever possible,
crew will be notified prior to leaving Toronto or Windsor of an intent to
run them long.
Crews must be
notified prior to passing the inbound OMTS of Quebec Street Yard of the
fact that they will be ran long.
Familiarization:
Familiarization Trips on the Galt/Windsor Subdivision will be on a voluntary
basis.
Running Trade employees will be responsible for ensuring they are able to
able to run Long under the ECC agreement on both the Galt/Windsor Sub.:
Familiarization under the ECCP
will commence Oct 30, 2006.
Familiarization will be up to the
individual RTE to decide if they require any trips or not.
RTE’s that decide to make a
familiarization trip will be paid a maximum of one trip each way on
the subdivision that they are familiarizing on.
Galt Subdivision Familiarization
will required to be operate trains to Zorra Siding and Windsor
Subdivision familiarization will require trains to be operated to
Longwood Siding.
The employee will be required to
advise the applicable RTC to ensure that they are aware that he/she
is on the train so the RTC can arrange for a taxi to meet them at
the predetermined location. Employee board placement will be as per
Local Agreements.
All employees will be required to
let the local manager know whether or not they require
familiarization.
It is recommended that the
Locomotive Engineer should operate the train during their
familiarization trips.
All employees must remain in the
cab of the lead locomotive, and are responsible for the observance
of operating rules, special instructions and other regulations.
Payment for
training/familiarization trips:
Employees that run
long for familiarization purposes will be paid 4 hours at “other than RQ
rates” per familiarization trip.
Training allowance
for the crew members providing the familiarization will be paid according to
the collective agreement, under training.
Payment for crews running to Longwood:
Employee’s required
to run long to Longwood Siding will be paid an EC payment in addition to all
other regular Run Long payments. This EC payment will not be used in
calculating maximum 3 EC payments per tour of duty.
Running long to all
other locations will be paid as per collective agreement.
Run Long Times:
London to Lobo –
Run through main line at London with no work 1 hour and 30 minutes
Run through yard at London with no work at London 1 hour and 55 minutes
Run through yard at London with work at London 2 hours and 55 minutes
London to Longwood –
Run through main line at London with no work 2 hours and 10 minutes
Run through yard at London with no work 2 hours and 35 minutes
Run through yard at London with work at London 3 hours and 55 minutes
London to Nissouri –
Run through main line at London with no work 1 hour and 20 minutes
Run through yard at London with no work 1 hour and 45 minutes
Run through yard at London with work at London 2 hours and 45 minutes
London to Zorra –
Run through main line at London with no work 2 hours and 10 minutes
Run through yard at London with no work 2 hours and 35 minutes
Run through yard at London with work at London 4 hours and 10 minutes
