When you are required to Run Long, your trip will fall into one of the following four categories:


1.  RUNNING LONG LIGHT ENGINES & LIFTING TRAIN AT THE START OF YOUR TOUR OF DUTY:

Use only the “Start RL” portion of the ticket.

1. Enter run miles from the IT to the ECCP in the Start RL RM Field
2. Enter run miles from the ECCP to the IT OMTS in the other Start RL  RM field.   (CMA will
    calculate and pay the greater of run miles or time for this portion.)
3. START OMTS2 DEPT  is the dept time from the initial terminal with light engines
4. ARR TURN  is arrival time at turn point with light engines.
5. DEPT TURN” is the dept time at the turn point after the train is lifted.
6. OMTS2 ARR is the arrival time back at the IT
7. DOMTS is the dept time back at the IT. 

You may not submit an EC for lifting your train.

2.  RUNNING LONG TAXI OUT & LIFT TRAIN AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR TOUR OF DUTY.

Use only the “Start RL” portion of the ticket.

1.  The first START RM field must be left blank as crew is taxied to the ECCP..
2.  The second START RM field is the run miles from the ECCP to the IT.
3.  The START OMTS2 DEPT field is to be left blank
4.  The ARR TURN field is arrival time at the ECCP.
5.  The DEPT TURN field is the dept time at the ECCP.
6.  The OMTS2 ARR field is the arrival time back at the IT.
7.  The DOMTS field is the dept time back at the IT

You may not submit an EC for lifting your train

 These field must be blank when you taxi out ---

3.  RUNNING LONG TRAIN OUT & TAXI BACK AT THE END OF THE TOUR OF DUTY.

Use the Return RL portion of the ticket only.

1.   The 1st RETURN RM field is the run miles from the FT to the ECCP.
2.   The 2nd RETURN RM field is to be left blank as crew is taxied from ECCP to FT.
3.   The AOMTS  field is the arrival time at the FT the first time.
4.   The RETURN OMTS2 field is the dept time at the FT when heading to the ECCP.
5.   The ARR TURN is the arrival time at the ECCP.
6.   The DEPT TURN is the time the crew gets into the cab at the ECCP.
7.   The TAXI ARR field is the time the taxi arrives back at the FT
8.   The OFF DUTY is the time the crew is finished tying up.

These fields must be blank when you taxi back ---

4.  RUNNING LONG TRAIN OUT & POWER BACK AT THE END OF THE TOUR OF DUTY
