Clarification of ECCP Issues – Corrector
In response to a
number of questions and misunderstandings regarding
pay entitlement in several run-long/ run-short
scenarios, the following clarifications should
assist. Please note that local agreements regarding
Extended Limits may supersede certain aspects of the
information provided below.
RUNNING SHORT
AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TRIP
You are entitled
to a fixed trip. Enter the time you depart the RUN
SHORT location in the departure field (DOMTS) This
will generate a fixed ticket.
RUNNING SHORT
AT THE END OF THE TRIP(not relieved)
If you are not
relieved by a Roadswitcher or a crew that normally
operates over the territory, you are entitled to a
fixed trip & RUN LONG if applicable. Enter the time
you get to the tie-up location in the objective
terminal, in the arrival field (AOMTS) which will
result in proper board placement. This may result in
the system generating an NR payment because of hours
on duty. If you were not on duty over 10 hours
before getting in the cab, you must submit an IP
claim to request the NR payment be removed. Q5
Previously,
employees were advised to use the “entered the cab”
time in the arrival field. Sometimes however, this
resulted in incorrect board placement at the
objective terminal.
RUNNING SHORT
AT THE END OF THE TRIP (relieved)
If you are advised
you are being relieved by a Roadswitcher or a crew
that normally operates over the territory, you are
entitled to a non-fixed trip plus RUN LONG if
applicable. Tie up as you normally would when
relieved en route. Q5
RELIEVED &
TAXIED TO THE OBJECTIVE TERMINAL AT ANY POINT AFTER
STARTING THE RUN LONG PORTION
If you did not
give notice you are entitled to a fixed trip plus
RUN LONG. Tie up as usual & top up the ticket with
an EX claim. You must deduct any Initial
Time and D2 miles from the EX claim. If you gave
notice, you are entitled to a non-fixed trip plus
RUN LONG. Q12
TURNED EN ROUTE
after RUNNING LONG
You are entitled
to a FIXED TRIP/RUN LONG/100M if you did not
give notice. Use the EX code to top up the ticket as
instructed above. If you did give notice, the
payment is a NON-FIXED TICKET/RUN LONG/100M. Once
you enter the taxi and have left Company property or
depart the OMTS if taking units into the ECCP, you
are considered en route. Q13
If unsure of how
to tie up a RUN LONG/SHORT trip, please put in an IP
claim with comments on the ticket to route it to an
Auditor.
